Dr. Mallory Pinocchio
Founder OTD, MOT, OTR/L Doctor of Occupational Therapy
Dr. Pinocchio has had a passion for infants and children since she was a child herself. Fortunately, this passion developed into a lifelong career.
Dr. Pinocchio received a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Her doctoral work was specific to sensory integration and family-centered care resulting in specialized knowledge.
Dr. Amanda Jenkins
OTD, OTR/L Doctor of Occupational Therapy
Dr. Amanda received her bachelors of science from the University of Nevada, Reno in Community Health Sciences and minored in Developmental Disabilities. From a young age Amanda has had a passion for children with varying abilities. Amanda moved to Arizona to complete her graduate program, where she further strengthened her passion for pediatrics and occupational therapy. She graduated with her Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from Northern Arizona University. She has experience with treating a variety of diagnoses and her passion in the field includes sensory integration, physical impairments, and feeding. Dr. Amanda is certified in Therapeutic Listening Programing, a sound-based intervention that was developed to support people of all ages who experience difficulties with sensory processing. Now being back in Reno, Dr. Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, their two dogs, close family, and friends.
Taylor Baldry
M.S., CCC-SLP Speech-Language Pathologist
Taylor was born and raised in Sonoma County, CA and was led to the field of Speech Pathology through her love for working with children and her passion for singing. After completing her undergraduate and graduate studies with honors at San Francisco State University, she entered the world of being a speech-language pathologist (SLP) in private practice! Taylor spent the first six years of her career working as an SLP and eventually a clinical supervisor in Santa Rosa, CA. She has experience working with clients across the lifespan with a variety of diagnoses, and her passions in the field include early intervention, parent education, and small peer group instruction. She made the move up to Reno in 2021 and has loved working at Dr. Pinocchio’s in such a collaborative environment! In her free time, Taylor loves to travel, travel, travel! She’s always planning her next adventure.
Angela Dexter
Speech Language Pathologist M.S. CCC-SLP
Angela was raised in Sacramento, California and moved to Nevada, where she pursued both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of Nevada, Reno. Angela has a strong passion for pediatrics, experience working with a wide variety of diagnoses, and an emphasis on continuing education training in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Angela began her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Carson City School District’s Elementary Special Education department, where she supported children with a wide range of communication needs. She later transitioned to Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS), where she developed a deep appreciation for the parent-coaching and family-centered model of care provided through in-home services.
Angela is passionate about a holistic, family-centered approach to treatment. She strives to create individualized treatment plans supported by therapy strategies that empower families and help children generalize their communication skills across all environments, including the home, school, and community.
Erica Nicholas
M.S., CCC-SLP Speech-Language Pathologist
Erica was born and raised in Nevada, where she completed her Bachelor of Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno and Master of Sciences at Chapman University in Orange, CA. Erica has worked in various settings including, private practice, school teletherapy, and home health with specialization in early intervention in San Diego, CA. She later moved to the east coast, where she worked within the hospital with adults specializing in voice and traumatic brain injury therapy. After moving back to the west coast, Erica joined Dr. Pinocchio at the Pediatric Wellness Center and is loving the fun, family and child-centered approach. In her spare time, Erica enjoys traveling with her children, husband and cocker spaniel.
Carly Blane
MOT, OTR/L Occupational Therapist
Carly received a masters of Occupational Therapy from Brunel University in London, England and a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health from The University of Nevada, Reno. During time living abroad Carly learned Spanish and is happy to communicate with families in Spanish as needed. She has always had a passion for working in pediatrics and believes in using a holistic and whole family approach and strives to create a warm and supportive environment for families she works with.
Madison Walton
M.S., CCC-SLP Speech-Language Pathologist
Madison is a proud Reno native who earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno. She is licensed by the Nevada Board of Examiners and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Dedicated to lifelong learning, Madison has received ASHA’s Award for Continuing Education twice, completing over 70 hours of continuing education within a three-year span. Her clinical expertise is rooted in pediatrics, with a special interest and advanced training in pediatric feeding disorders. She has completed specialized programs including the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Catherine Shaker’s NICU Swallowing and Feeding, and Sensory Kids’ Impaired Home Intervention.
Madison brings a well-rounded background with experience in Early Intervention, public schools, and home-based therapy. She is passionate about fostering meaningful connections with children and believes in using their individual interests and play styles as a foundation for developing communication skills. When she’s not working, Madison enjoys relaxing weekends at Lake Almanor or Bullards Bar Reservoir, going to comedy shows and concerts, and riding on the back of her husband’s Harley.
Dr. Rachael Gallagher
OTD OTR/L Doctor of Occupational Therapy
Dr. Rachael is a proud California native with a lifelong love for working with kids, stemming from years working as a camp counselor! She was born and raised in the Bay Area before moving down to the University of Southern California, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Sciences with a minor in The Dynamics of Early Childhood. After that, Rachael ventured across the country to earn her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Tufts University in Boston, MA! Rachael holds an Advanced Professional Certification in School-Based Practice, equipping her with specialized expertise in evidence-based, best-practice interventions within educational settings. She has experience working in outpatient pediatrics, the school setting, and community-based mental health. In her free time, Rachael enjoys pilates, spending time with family and friends, cooking, and traveling!
Dr. Abigail Johnson
PT, DPT Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Abbie graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University before moving back to her home state of Washington to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Eastern Washington University. She has experience working in outpatient pediatrics, in-home early intervention, and High-Risk Infant NICU Follow-ups. Dr. Abbie loves to work with children of all ages and has a passion for early development and helping families transition from the NICU.
Dr. Marlee Parkin
PT, DPT Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Marlee was raised in Reno and earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Adapted Physical Education from California State University, Chico where she discovered her passion for working with children and supporting individuals of all abilities. Marlee later moved to Las Vegas to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, graduating in May 2025.
Throughout her doctoral program, Marlee developed a strong interest in pediatric physical therapy and enjoys helping children improve their mobility, strength, and overall functional independence. She has experience working with a variety of pediatric diagnoses and is passionate about promoting motor development, functional mobility, and participation in daily activities. Marlee strives to create fun, engaging therapy sessions that help children build confidence while working toward their goals.
Outside of the clinic, Marlee enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, walking her dogs, and exploring new places.
Grace Vollert
COTA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Grace received her Bachelor of Science from California State University, Chico, where she majored in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in Adapted Physical Education. Throughout her education, Grace developed a strong interest in supporting individuals with diverse physical and developmental needs. She has always known she wanted a career where she could make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Grace knew early on that she wanted to work one-on-one with children, which ultimately led her to pursue a career in occupational therapy. She went on to earn her associate degree in Occupational Therapy from St. Catherine University. During her training, Grace gained experience working with both pediatric and geriatric populations and developed a passion for helping individuals build the skills needed to participate more fully in their everyday lives. Grace believes in taking a holistic approach to therapy and values collaborating closely with families to support each child’s growth and independence.
